Polar has been making decent products for years, but until they start including Ant+ technology to their HR chest straps I recommend purchasing a different brand.  Bluetooth technology is great, but it only allows one connection. This single connection can be extremely limited especially in the fitness industry where exercisers want their heart rate chest strap to connect to their watch, phone app, cardio-vascular equipment and group display.  If you’re wearing a Bluetooth-only chest strap, you get to pick just one way to see and record your heart rate.

My recommendation is a HR chest strap that broadcasts heart rate in both Bluetooth and  Ant+.

The Polar H10 has just about all of the bells and whistles you could want on a consumer heart rate monitor. Here’s how it stacks up against the competition.
